Jacob Shelton

Jacob is the worship leader at The Church in the Center, an exciting new church plant in the Houston Medical Center.  He grew up in the Rural Shade Baptist Church of Cleveland, Texas and accepted Christ when he was 13 at a youth camp in Illinois.  Ever since then, Jacob has been using his musical gift to glorify God - he led worship in his youth group and started a praise band when he was 15.  He has served as a youth minister in a couple of churches.  And in 2007 Jacob traveled to Madrid, Spain where he served as a student missionary and led worship for the Immanuel Baptist Church, an English speaking church in metropolitan Madrid.  A young man of God with a joyful heart, a gentle spirit, and a great gift - Jacob will be a blessing, an inspiration, and a good example to your 6th graders.

Tim Davis

Tim is the Youth and Children’s Pastor at Bethel Baptist Church in New Caney, Texas.  He is a graduate of East Texas Baptist University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  He and his wife, Julie, have three daughters.  Highly respected for his many years of leadership in Christian youth and children’s camps, Tim serves on the board of trustees of Pineywoods Baptist Encampment and is the Co-Director of  PowerPlus Preteen Camp.  Tim is a creative communicator who leads a very effective ministry that reaches and disciples children and youth and develops leaders in Kingdom service.  He understands how to introduce children to Christ and lead them to a deeper commitment to Christ without pressure or emotional manipulation.  We are confident that you and your 6th graders will be greatly blessed to have Tim Davis as their camp pastor.
