Brian Foster

Brian is a gifted musician, singer and worship leader.  He lives in Conroe with his wife, Tiffany, and their four children.  He currently assists the music ministry of FBC Groceville where he is a member, having served previously on the staffs of Calvary Baptist in Cleveland and Fellowship Baptist in Porter.  There is never a dull moment when Brian is around - he is a bundle of excitement, joy, and laughs!  But he also has an exceptional ability to help young ones experience true worship through music.

When we asked Brian to give us a little biographical stuff, here’s what he wrote, just the way he wrote it . . .

In the beginning . . . . there was Brian.  Well, okay - not the VERY beginning.  But sometime between now and the beginning.  Although, not exactly in the middle of now and the beginning.  Probably closer to now than the beginning.  I guess "the beginning" is all a matter of perspective, though, isn't it?  Unless you're talking about THE beginning, which is foolishness because that would make Brian 4.5 billion years old, or a few thousand years old - depending on what your belief of the world's origin is.  Either way, there's NO way Brian is that old, so suffice it to say he wasn't there in THE beginning.  But he WAS there in the beginning that HE knows, which wouldn't be the beginning that others know, unless they shared the EXACT same birthday as Brian, like a girl named Dawn that he once worked with and found out they were born on the very same day.  So, the beginning that Brian (and Dawn) know may not be the same beginning that most know, but as far as he knows, in the beginning . . . .  there was Brian.  Now he plays guitar and sings and likes to make people laugh.

And he's saved.

Danny Wendt

Because 3rd graders need special care when dealing with spiritual matters, God has given us a pastor with wisdom, gentleness, and a loving heart to be our 3rd grade camp pastor.  Danny Wendt, the senior pastor of FBC Hempstead, Texas, knows how to share Jesus with young children without pressure or manipulation.  A former Houston police officer many years ago, when he found Jesus, God transformed Danny’s life and heart into a man of God who reflects Jesus in everything he does.  A great story teller, Danny has the gentleness of a father and a grandfather mixed with the joy and excitement of Jesus - so kids love to be around him!

Many years ago, when several of us on the staff were just getting started in Preteen Camp ministry, Danny Wendt was our camp director, mentor, and friend.  Now we have the joy of serving with him as he ministers to your children, and we know that you will love him as much as we do.
